What to bring

A short list for everyone, plus a few extras depending on how you buy. Bought online? Upload these on your deal page ahead of time and pickup goes faster.

Everyone

  • A valid driver's licenseNot expired. Buying with someone else? Bring theirs too.
  • Insurance on this carYou need it before you drive home. Call your insurance company with the car's VIN (it's on the listing), then upload the new card on your deal page or bring it with you.
  • Your down paymentCash, a personal or cashier's check, a bank transfer (ACH), or a debit or credit card. Cards have a processing fee.

Registering somewhere other than your license address?

The MVD asks for two proofs of the address where the car will be registered. Any two of these work, as long as they show your name and that address. A PO box doesn't count.

Auto insurance cardThe card for this car counts as one
Utility billElectric, gas, water, sewer, cable or internet
Bank or credit card statementA monthly statement from any US bank or card issuer
Mortgage or leaseA signed mortgage statement or current lease
Insurance billHomeowner, renter, medical or auto
Government letterFrom the IRS, MVD or Social Security
Recent pay stub or W-2With the address printed on it
Voter registration cardIssued by the New Mexico Secretary of State

Trading in a car?

  • The title, or if you still owe on it, your lender's name and account number so we can pay it off
  • The registration
  • Every key and remote you have

Financing?

Proof of income: recent pay stubs or bank statements. Applying online first saves time.

Just here for a test drive?

Your driver's license. You need to be 18 or older with a license that hasn't expired. We scan it and you sign a short test-drive agreement on our iPad.
